I Want to Become Your Shirt ||

Medium : Shujigami paper, acrylic ink, natural rose ink (77 x 77 x 10 cm 

This work is a tender and intimate exploration of connection, crafted from
Japanese rice paper using the paper mâché technique, shaped into a shirt
that echoes the original garment of my partner. The fragile yet wearable form
symbolizes intimacy. The paper sculpture is treated as an unblemished
surface for the letter of rose- ‘“Dear beloved, I want to become the body of
your shirt. I want to become the motif of your shirt. I want to become the
buttons of your shirt. I want to become your shirt,” says the rose’
