I Want to Become Your Shirt
(2024)

Medium : Rice paper and artist’s dyed hair(77 x 74 x 10 cm approx.)

This work is a tender and intimate exploration of connection, crafted from
Japanese rice paper using the paper mâché technique, shaped into a shirt
that echoes the original garment of my partner. The fragile yet wearable form
symbolizes intimacy and interconnectedness. The use of hair stems from the
deeply personal and intimate experience of finding strands left behind on a
loved one's shirt, transforming a fleeting trace into something permanent and
meaningful.
